The operators on the NCS has through EPIM developed LogisticsHub. The entire offshore logistics industry now has an opportunity for considerable cost reductions.
LogisticsHub is a common solution for sharing tracking information of containers during transportation to and from offshore facilities. It enables all actors in the supply chain to share tracking information of goods, leading to both higher efficiency and quality in the logistics operations.
A milestone has been reached, as LogisticsHub is now in operation for pilot use. ConocoPhillips, Halliburton, Statoil, Swire and Bring Cargo will utilize LogisticsHub to gain transparency of the flow in the logistics chain. During the pilot period the participants will integrate LogisticsHub with in-house applications and document best practices.
Regular operation is scheduled to start from July 2016, and new participants will be invited to join from this date. Information about how to prepare for using LogisticsHub will be available in Q2 2016 .
Sharing logistics information between organizations has been made possible through use of standards and a common understanding of the shared information. The tailor made integration interface handles all the technical issues required for receiving, storing and sharing information.
